Electrolysis Treatments
Electrology is the science of permanent hair removal utilizing only solid needle/probe devices. A fine sterile needle/probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a small amount of electrical energy is discharged which destroys the hair growth tissue. When this is competently and skillfully accomplished, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated.
Electrolysis provides safe, permanent removal of unwanted hair from all areas of the face and body. Some services claim to use electrolysis when electric tweezers or photoepilators are used. A trained technician inserts a small filament (needle electrolysis) into the hair follicle to deliver a gentle electrical pulse. The hair is instantly killed at the root and permanently plucked away, leaving smooth, healthy skin. Although it takes several treatments, the hair is eventually killed at the root. There are only a few cases where the root is not killed due to hormonally or genetic circumstances.
Because of the nature of the hair growth cycle, permanent hair removal requires a series of electrolysis treatments. Immediately following treatment, most clients experience mild redness lasting an hour or two. We’d be delighted to offer a free consultation to determine the number and frequency of treatments to best meet your needs. Read more on electrolysis methods.
While laser hair removal technology has great results, there are skin and hair types that benefit from the results of hair removal from electrolysis.
